Converting a vmware disk-image to a virtualbox disk-image is very easy. However, there really isn't any point in doing it, as virtualbox will happily run a virtual machine stored in a vmware disk-image. If you for some reason would like to convert the disk-image anyway, here is how to do it.
Step 1: Open a terminal.
Step 2: Use this command and adjust as needed:
VBoxManage convertfromraw --format vmdk --variant Standard original-vmware-image.vmdk resulting-virtualbox-image.vdi
