I read this tip a couple of days ago, and I have NO idea whether it works, as I started to implement it today, so use this information at your own risk!
The basic idea is to use adsense’s ad filter, to filter out ads from advertisers that pay to low.
Alright, first you go to the URL of the site you want to have higher paying adsense ads for.
Then you copy the link of every adsense ad that you want to know the average price per click of, and paste it into a text document.
Next, you find the section of each URL you copied that says &adurl=http://something.com/page.html and remove anything but http://something.com/page.html – for example, I found this URL on an adsense ad:
http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/aclk?sa=l&ai=BBh77hE3BStn1NpHv-AbKw-HHD9Pk1wep7fCYAcCNtwHwkwkQAhgEIJv2ngwoAjgAUMaXsIoFYNHpwILgB6ABtem1_gOyAQticmVkc2FhbC5ka7oBCTQ2OHg2MF9hc8gBAdoBOGh0dHA6Ly9icmVkc2FhbC5kay9ibG9nL015c3RpYytNaW5lKy0rYStncmVhdCtMSU5VWCtnYW1l4AECqAMByAMH6AOMAugD3gLoA94E9QMIAIAE&num=4&sig=AGiWqtybegTOkRvOBUo-sI_vleXW7w5DQA&client=ca-pub-6456497119241333&adurl=http://roughdiamondworld.com&nm=2
When you have a list of URL’s you want to know the price per click of, go to http://www.keywordspy.com and copy-and-paste each URL into the searchfield on the top of the site – be sure to select “Destination URL’s” on the radio buttons just below the textfield. Now press search and you will see a list of ads going to the URL you typed in. You now have to decide on a price you want per click, per ad. For instance, if you want $1 per click, and the ad only pays $0.4 – you should let google filter it out, by going to https://www.google.com/adsense/filter-online and put in the URL that you want to filter.
Do this with each and every URL you want to check.
As stated above, I have no idea if this actually works, but at least it should be a fun experiment.
