On December 20th, I decided that bredsaal.dk should rank number 1 in google when somebody searched my name, Jannich Brendle. I had no idea where I ranked when searching for that, but quickly found that I ranked 4th. However when searching for my first name alone, I ranked 34th. For fun I searched my name in yahoo and ranked 1st on Jannich Brendle and 13th for Jannich, and in bing I ranked 1st for both search terms.
So who do I have to pass on the SERPs in order to be number one on both Jannich Brendle and just Jannich? Well, sites like wikipedia, facebook, netlog, linkedin, De gule sider (danish version of the yellow pages), the domain jannich.dk, some blogs and some newssites! What to do? Quite simple. Backlinks – and LOTS of them! Here is my “plan” on where to get backlinks:
- Dofollow Link directories
- Dofollow blogs
- Dofollow forums
- Prioritize depending on pagerank.
Now I have no idea how this will end, but I’m probably going to write some guides on getting good dofollow links from various places, using various tools.
It the mean time, have a nice christmas.

This is great, you are currently number two in Google for “Jannich”. I hope you continue to do well!
Good luck with the top spot
