I recently found myself in a position where I had to run an application requiring Adobe AIR. I'm running a 64-bit install of Ubuntu, and Adobe's AIR is only for 32-bit computers. Installing Adobe AIR on Ubuntu 64-bit is very easy if you follow this short step-by-step tutorial on how to install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu 64-bit.
First, open up a terminal window. Then type:
cd /tmp sudo apt-get install -y ia32-libs lib32nss-mdns lib32asound2 lib32gcc1 lib32ncurses5 lib32stdc++6 lib32z1 libc6 libc6-i386 lib32nss-mdns libcanberra-gtk-module wget http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/latest/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
There you have it, installing adobe AIR on ubuntu 64-bit, in 5 lines of simple copy-and-paste code. :-)
