After some careful considerations, I decided to switch from valueserver.de who have delivered a VERY impressive service, to the cheaper ARP networks, who can supply me with a VPS plan for only $10 a month. Of course, the specs of the VPS I ordered from APR networks are much lower than those of the valueserver.de VPS. One of the things that made me decide to use ARP networks, besides the cheapness, is the fact that they deliver native IPv6 to each and every customer. NICE!

I have also switched blog engine. I used to use my own homemade system, one I was pretty proud of. But it was running in a tomcat instance, and tomcat will run VERY sluggish with only 256Mb RAM, which my new VPS is equipped with.

I decided to go with lighttpd+mysql+php5+wordpress for the blog, so now I have to see how that works out.
